Cassidy Gold Releases More Kouroussa Results

Mr. James Gillis reports

CASSIDY GOLD CORP.: UPDATE ON RC DRILLING, KOUROUSSA GOLD PROJECT

Cassidy Gold Corp. has released results of continuing reverse circulation (RC) drilling on its 100-per-cent-owned Kouroussa property in Guinea, West Africa. Results have been received from the second of three fences of "kit bit" RC drill holes across the Sodyanfe gold-in-soil geochemical anomaly and from a fence of holes stretching 900 metres northwest of the Sanu Folo trend. Fences are drilled "head to toe" to the base of the saprolite horizon, typically 30 to 40 metres deep.

Sodyanfe zone
The second fence of holes sits parallel to and 250 metres southeast of the first fence and stretches 950 metres in a southwest to northeast orientation. Three distinct northwest trending zones of gold mineralization were encountered along with several less distinct, lower grade intervals. Highlights include 5.4 grams per tonne Au over four metres in KRC426, 1.07 grams per tonne Au over five metres in KRC429, and 1.87 grams per tonne Au over seven metres in KRC430. Both KRC429 and KRC430 ended in mineralization. A western north-trending zone was missed due to a break in topography. The three zones are correlated with three similar zones encountered along the northern fence of holes (see news as reported by Stockwatch on April 27, 2005).

These results continue to confirm Sodyanfe as a large, near-surface and moderate grade target. Results are pending from one or more fence of holes 200 metres farther south, which will further test the assumed strike extent of mineralization.

North Sanu Folo
A fence of holes was drilled to the northeast from the Sanu Folo area to the Koekoe River, a distance of approximately 900 metres. The fence crosses two zones of west and northwest trending artisanal workings coincident with a broad gold-in-soil geochemical anomaly. On the North Sanu Folo trend, KRC437 intersected 2.36 grams per tonne Au over four metres and KRC438 returned 1.24 grams per tonne Au over three metres. Across a second, unnamed trend KRC322 intersected 1.39 grams per tonne Au over three metres, KRC323 intersected 1.90 grams per tonne Au over three metres, KRC324 intersected 0.90 gram per tonne over six metres, and KRC325 intersected 1.76 grams per tonne Au over three metres. Further drilling is planned on both zones to determine their potential extent. Another hole, KRC329, ended in mineralization assaying 1.08 grams per tonne Au over one metres, on strike with the north end of the KD-1 zone.

Current Exploration
Definition drilling has begun on JJ and KD-1 with a view to increasing Cassidy's current inferred resource of 315,000 ounces. Approximately 3,500 metres of RC drilling are planned on the JJ followed by 2,600 metres on KD-1. To date, a total of 23,433 metres of RC drilling, mainly with a kit bit, has been completed in 579 holes.

Diamond drilling has tested three targets immediately west of Sanu Filanan, and is currently testing the Sanu Folo zone. Other targets to be tested in the next week or two include the northwest extension of the Sanu Filanan and KD-1 zone.

Regionally, reconnaissance drilling is contemplated for Kinkine and Mani and soil geochemical surveys continue to the north around Benegban.

Sampling and Assay Procedures
RC samples were collected from the cyclone and split or pipe sampled to one-kilogram size. All samples were sent to ABILAB Afrique de l'Ouest in Bamako, Mali, for fire assay using a 50-gram subsample. High-grade samples were checked by reassaying the same pulp. A gravimetric finish was used on all samples assaying over 10 grams per tonne Au and some samples assaying over four grams per tonne Au. Several high values were checked by taking a second split from the sample rejects and fire assaying with both AAS and gravimetric finishes.

Personnel
The exploration team in Guinea consists of project manager Marc-Andre Boudreau, BSc, Marthe Archambault, MSc, PGeo, and Maxime Dupere, BSc. Christopher J. Wild, PEng, vice-president exploration for Cassidy Gold Corp., is currently on the site and is the qualified person for this release.
