Drilling Resumes at Kouroussa, Guinea

Cassidy Gold Corp. (CDY:TSX-V) is pleased to announce that drilling has resumed on its 100% owned Kouroussa Property, in Guinea, West Africa. RSG Global Pty Ltd of Perth, Australia has been contracted to provide on-site management and consulting services at Kouroussa. West African Drilling Services (WADS) has been contracted to provide up to three drill rigs, and Boart Longyear will supply one core rig to the project.

An aggressive exploration program is focused on two goals: to continue to build the gold resource at Kouroussa, and to identify additional mineralized zones that can contribute to the gold resource in the near-term. The main components of this program include:

• Resource drilling of the North Sanu Filanan, JJ, KD-1, Sanu Folo, and X-Vein zones
• Drilling on the Sodyanfe, KD-1, Koekoe Creek, and Western Lode targets to define mineralized zones discovered during the previous phase of drilling.
• Fugro Airborne Surveys Limited has been contracted to fly magnetics and radiometrics surveys over both Kouroussa and Siguiri Properties later this month.
• An orthophoto base with 2 metre contours will allow detailed mapping to be completed over the Sanu Filanan to X-Vein area.
• RAB drilling is planned for the X-Vein area, Mani, Kinkine, Benegban, Dalaoule, Banjounani, and any other zones defined by geochemistry, airborne geophysics, or significant historical artisanal gold mining.
• Regional soil geochemical surveys are planned for the west side of Benegban and the Karikarissa area of the Kouroussa North permit area, where a 1.5 kg nugget was recently discovered by artisanal miners.
• Selective diamond drilling will define geology associated with mineralization on the Kouroussa Property, including but not limited to, Kinkine, Mani, and Benegban.
• Diamond drilling is planned to follow up on anticipated geochemical and geophysical anomalies and recent artisanal mining activity on the Siguiri permit area.

The Kouroussa and Siguiri Properties together cover 1031 square kilometres of the Siguiri Basin, a succession of volcano-sedimentary rocks of Birimian age. Birimian rocks host virtually all the gold mines in West Africa.
